Suspect in Philadelphia Abduction Case Was Shot and Killed by FBI officers in New Jersey

LEONIA, N.J. — On Wednesday morning, FBI officers in northern New Jersey shot and killed a man linked to an abduction in Philadelphia.   

According to Action News, FBI officials investigating the kidnapping located the suspects to an apartment complex in Leonia, Bergen County. The agents were serving a search warrant at 6 a.m. when one of the suspects was fatally shot. The kidnapping victim was recovered and was not harmed.

The FBI officers were not hurt in any way. The name of the suspect, as well as facts regarding the kidnapping, were not immediately available. The FBI stated that agents from both the Newark, New Jersey and Philadelphia field offices were involved in the investigation. The Philadelphia Police Special Victims Unit was also engaged in the inquiry.
